We took a traditional Jewish song about a peaceful Sabbath and made a rock/techno version of it! For the video we went to a synagogue as well as shooting us dancing and with puppets! We are a Messianic Jewish band and the song is on the album Steadfast. myspace.com/netzer cdbaby.com/cd/netzer 2
Netzer's reggae version of a Steve McConnell song. "This day is for Israel light and gladness - Sabbath of contentment."
Recorded in a single take on the walls of the Old City in Jerusalem.
Netzer returns in this action packed adventure from the comforts of David's families' minivan I mean equipment hauler. Teaming up with guest drummer Ken Lane (myspace.com/kenlane ) Netzer sets out to conquer San Diego. Will our synagogue's spare drum set survive! Watch and find out! (myspace.com/netzer and the song is on cdbaby.com/cd/netzer 2)
Shot and edited by Mark and David.
When recording Deus ex Machina we recorded this instrumental demo. We ended up not deciding to put it on the CD for some reason but I think it's pretty good. The video is some footage from class projects in Winter 2006 VIS 180B. (The other project was Green Lights Forever).
Visuals mostly from American Engineer (1956) with some shots from Atoms for Energy (1940), both found on archive.org. Most shots sped up 20 or 50%. Music links: cdbaby.com/cd/netzer and myspace.com/netzer
Footage from a Jewish wedding sped up 20x. This used almost all of what I shot. The video uses an instrumental electronic song made by my brother for CD. (myspace.com/netzer)
Lots of dancing! These are clips that I collected. Most of the dancing is by David and Mark and you'll have to figure out who everyone else is by yourself
While at the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America's Messiah Conference in Pennsylvania I took over 4 hours of footage, concentrating on my band Netzer which played two shows. This is 10 minutes of all the music and comedy that I could fit in. Acoustic and rock music, Ted Pearce, some random people we met, etc.
Netzer records our first CD, Deus ex Machina, in 2004. We have fun in Riverside and have random discussions and misadventures. myspace.com/netzer, cdbaby.com/cd/netzer
A live version of the last song on Netzer's new CD, Steadfast! Add us on myspace.com/netzer. This song was inspired by the Narnia series. This was part of our CD release party in Jan. 2007.
Old Old netzer footage! From January 2004 in San Diego. Parts of Ripchord and Mayim. The transition between the two was especially good. This show was from before we recorded our first CD.
Netzer played an acoustic show at the MJAA (Messianic Jewish Alliance of America)'s Messiah Conference in Pennsylvania. This song is off of Steadfast and is based off of Psalm 2.
Even more footage! The descent into randomness continues with five guys stuck in a small recording studio for five days. What happens when you give them a camera. 2004.
Netzer played an acoustic show at the MJAA (Messianic Jewish Alliance of America)'s Messiah Conference in Pennsylvania. This song is from Isaiah 58 and is not recorded for a CD (yet).
