The camera work appears to be getting worse, but this turned out to be a very nice take on the Doc Watson classic Deep River Blues. It was one of the first tunes I ever learned and I still love playing it. This version is based on a mix of the Doc Watson's version and Pat Kirtley's version.

This is a very old Christmas hymn based on an even older Irish tune. It's so pretty, and not a popular carol, so I use it all year round.
This was recorded with a sunburst Martin OM-18V that I bought from my buddy Tim. It is a great little guitar

Here's my take on Merle Travis' tune I Am A Pilgrim. A very fun tune to play. It's always been one of my favorite. It is based on the version Pat Kirtley put on his Introduction to Thumbstyle Guitar video. The guitar is my Schoenberg Soloist.

Highway\ Highway's End
Posted by: jmstern22

Video duration: 206 seconds

This is my version on a Randy Scrugg's tune Highway's End. It is a fun and easy thumb-style tune that I really enjoy playing. I have heard that he wrote it when he was 12 years old, very impressive. The only version I have of this tune was done by James Alan Shelton, I don't play it exactly like his version, but it still turned out nice.
The guitar is a 1993 Schoenberg Soloist.

Dust in the Wind Dust in the Wind

I figured since I had the sunburst out I should try to get another tune up here, so here is the venerable Dust in the Wind by Kansas. I have to say, this isn't my favorite song, but I really love the intro and interlude after the second verse. Those two parts make the whole song worthwhile.
The guitar is my '95 Martin D-18 Golden Era sunburst.

McGuire\ McGuire's Landing in progress
Posted by: jmstern22

Video duration: 222 seconds

Here is my early version of Pete Huttlinger's tune McGuire's Landing. It is one of my all time favorite tunes. It still has few oinkers in it, but it is coming along. When I can play it cleaner, I will put up another version, that will, hopefully do this song more justice.
Thanks for watching.
The guitar is a Martin D-18GE in DADGAD.

This is a copy of a tune I had posted already, but I thought it would sound really nice on the new guitar. See what you think.

Fall River Road Fall River Road

Video duration: 187 seconds

This tune was written by a friend of mine, Steve Mesple, who runs Wildwood Music in Louisville, CO. This is a tune he wrote for one of his band's Christmas CD's. The Wind Machine version is nice, but I like better as a solo guitar piece.
The guitar is a Martin D-18GE in DADGAD tuning.
Thanks for watching
