Footage of model trains running at the Titletown Train Show in Green Bay on April 28, 2007. Includes model trains of all scales and descriptions, and plenty of scale grade crossing signal action! Lots of footage of the Moo Crew layout.
In Part 2 we see CN 4714 and its train pull off the swing bridge, clatter over a diamond with a former Chicago Northwestern spur track, cross McDonald Street, and creak through an S-curve into the ex-CNW North Green Bay Yard. Then the crew closes the gate and rotates the swing bridge back open for river traffic.
Riding in the WSOR's cab car No. 11 on August 12, 2007.
Part 2 starts as our train passes the fire-damaged former CNW roundhouse at the north end of the Johnson St. Yard, and picks up speed through the backyards of north Madison, skirts Lake Mendota, and reverses direction just beyond the County Highway M crossing near the village of Westport.
More runbys of the train we rode on during the "Madison, Wisconsin By Rail" series. These train rides were part of the first Gandy Dancer Bluegrass Music Festival.
The locomotive, E9A WSOR 10C, has since been renumbered to WSOR 101 and had ditchlights and a new plow installed.
The 2' gauge railroad at the Rock River Thresheree near Milton and Edgerton. The locomotive is a Henschel (German-built) switcher modified to resemble a classic American locomotive.

This slideshow covers August-December 2007. All audio is authentic to the train shown in the picture where possible. Whenever a new date and/or location comes up, that information is displayed momentarily in the lower right corner of the picture.
On October 31, I chased another Park Job (CN Train L578) on its way back to North Green Bay Yard from the industrial park on the old GBW. Canadian National EMD GP40-2LW 9460 provided the power. The train is seen crossing Military Avenue, Maple Avenue, and Walnut Street.
SD70ACe BNSF 9340 and faded but unpatched SD70MAC BN 9601 lead Train 882, coal loads for the Columbia Power Plant, through the Wauona Trail crossing on the east side of Portage. The train is traveling east on the Canadian Pacific MP (Madison) Branch, and will soon curve to the south and take the loads into the plant.

Soo Line 1913 2-8-2 #1003 ran from its home base at the Hartford Auto Museum to Whitewater, Wisconsin on the WSOR Waukesha Subdivision to be used in a community celebration.
This video shows the 1003 and a Milwaukee Road bay window caboose coming into Whitewater through the Wisconsin St. grade crossing, then leaving a photo stop on the bridge over the end of Cravath Lake.
A very late WSOR J2 rolls through downtown Stoughton to the clamor of a WCH mechanical crossing bell.
All three of the locomotives have changed in their appearance since this video. The two lead units, SD20s 2052 and 2053, are no longer with the railroad. The third unit, SD40-2 4053, has since been repainted to a special "Grow Wisconsin Map" paint scheme.

Here's some footage my dad shot of WSOR's special "Sustain Dane" excursion to Spring Green on Saturday morning 9/29/2007. WSOR cab car 11 is leading, E9A 10C is pushing from the rear.
