this is my version of a Carter Family Song, which is (obviously)the answer to their classic song "Bury me under the weeping willow"
Again, there is just a picture of them and no video. I just can't make the sound and the video fit together (this playback-lipsync-thi ng) and I'm to lazy to make a slide show or something like that. So, just a picture, but a very nice one, I think...
So this is a new video (and in some way the replacement for "My Dixie Darlin'", which I've removed at request)... I like this song very much, but I have to say: this is a mix of "playing the song" and "trying to remember it" soo ... hope you like it.
back on clinch mountain ...
This is a Carter Family song again.
It's fun to play on the guitar :-)
I hope you like it.
and again: I don't own any copyright of the pictures used and if someone want's me to remove the video, I will.
and again:
THANKS FOR WATCHING
another of the great carter family songs. I love their historic reunion album and this piece is on that album too. I think I messed the lyrics up ... however I hope you like it.
THANKS FOR WATCHING
a song by Loreena McKennitt
one of her best pieces
This is my version...
I added some bulgarian flavour to it :-)
sorry there is no video for it, I tried to make one... but it just didn't happen in the end :-)
So I put up this nice little picture :-)
The classic carter family song.
Also played by Maybelle on the first "Circle" of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and sung by Reese Witherspoon for the movie "Walk The Line". Hope you like it.
this is the story of an old man who dresses like a young man and goes to the dance to dance with girls of the village. As he apears all girls disapear. Just the little girl Angelina stays on the dance floor.
I hope it sounds correct in some way. I learned the song on a phonetic base.
all vocals by me
arranged by me & Philipp Koutev
hope you like it
Another Carter-Family-Song ... my favourite. But I'm not yet satisfied with this video ... i think there will be an "updated" version on youtube soon....
This is an instrumental version of Bob Wills' "San Antonio Rose". I heard it first done by Maybelle Carter on the autoharp. June did it in her memory. It was also performed by Carrie Underwood at the Grammys .... so this is my version of the song. Hope you like it

One of my favourite songs.
Written and recorded by Loreena McKennitt (from "Parallel Dreams")
I tried it on psaltery ...
unfortunately my cam wasn't able to capture the whole thing ... maybe next time
a traditional piece from england
Caroline Lavelle's version is wonderful and I decided to put the viol part of Loreena McKennitts "The English Ladye and the Knight" at the end of the song.
Sorry for the noises of my chair...
but look at the sky outside :-)
a song by Irving Berlin (1923). I like the song and I just tried it in the carter style (with guitar and autoharp)... that's why it is not as "jazzy" as it is usually. With an autoharp one can do a lot, but not everything ... that's why the chords are quite simple.
And the photo ... I had no idea what pic to use for this song ... so this is just a little depression era street.
this is a song from georgia.
It's a paean for love.
You've got to keep hold of love, whenever it is offered to you.
all vocals by me
traditional, arranged by some choir (don't know the name - maybe someone else does? the original is linked) and me
Hope you like it.
