Taken on October 26, 2008 - here we see a Grand Central-bound Metro-North Hudson Line train leaving Marble Hill with P32AC-DM "Genesis" 228 and an all-CDOT set of Shoreliners led by #6203 - "The Danbury Hatter." We see a minor meet with a Van Cortlandt Park-bound #1 train on the Broadway Bridge above.
May 26, 2007 - 3:15PM after arriving at Iona Island in the shadow of Bear Mountain on the old New York Central West Shore Line. We see CSX ES44DC #5270 with another engine leading a 70-car consist; mainly piggybacks. Excuse the camera swerving - the sun was in my eye and I unsuccessfully attempted to photograph the lead engine.
This was shot at Peekskill, NY on a portion of the former New York Central Empire Corridor (now Metro-North's Hudson Line). This is Amtrak Genesis #716 pulling five "Amfleet" cars South towards Penn Station. This might be train #244 - The Empire Service.
