We were driving North on the Pacific Coast Highway near Big Sur, California and happened to see this cattle drive heading up the mountain in April.
The cattle seemed to need some prodding to relocate. We thought of our friends' Australian cattle dog, Cody, and thought he would be a help for the cowboys.

On a lovely October afternoon I stood on the porch of the Drum Point Lighthouse, built in 1883 and is one of the four surviving screwpile lighthouses left along the Chesapeake Bay area, and caught some of the beauty of the area on camera.

Each December, Old Town Alexandria features the Scottish Christmas Walk Parade. Hundreds of Scottish clansmen parade with their bagpipes through Old Town Alexandria during this Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend. This holiday event is a traditional favorite of historic Alexandria. There is also a tour of historic homes, children's tea party, and a Christmas Marketplace and Café.
