September 2008: The Tory Council have released more proposals for speed humps on Larkham Lane in Plympton. Local Tory Councillor, Patrick Nicholson, was elected on a ticket opposing speed humps now the Tory council is wanting to introduce new ones. Labour supports new speed humps but only with the support of the local community.

September 2008: After surveying local residents in the Larkham Lane area of Plympton whether they want new speed humps Labour has launched a campaign to oppose six new speed humps. Local residents said they didn't want new speed humps so we're campaigning to support the views of local residents.

Luke Pollard joined Linda Gilroy, Labour MP for Plymouth Sutton, in Old Town Street in Plymouth over the August Bank Holiday to speak to local people about their concerns about terrorism after Police arrests on the street only a few days before.
