This is my new setup, with a new MOT added to it, my dad gave me a old microwave for my birthday, for parts, so i junked it. I use 6 caps (3 in series parallel with 3 in series) to give resonance. Inductors to limit currnet are: 2 coils from a electric motor, coil of wire, and some springs.
This is my capacitor bank, consisting of a Full wave bridge rectifier out of a computer power supply along with 20 computer power supply capacitors, all in parallel to give 200V 7060uF, they charge up to about 160VDC, off 120VAC. The origional plan was to make a washer launcher, similer to bobdavis321's, but i had no luck with the flat coil. This also powers a small coil gun.
This is my jacobs ladder i built using 2 MOTS in series, and i also built 2 inductors that work fairly well as you can see on the video. At the end of the video it kicked the 20 amp breaker in my garage.
