Some drivers don't understand the concept of not entering an intersection if you don't have a clear exit. Clearly this isn't a major case of gridlock, but with several drivers sitting in the middle of the intersection when the light turned green, that was enough for me to post on here.
A typical bad driver, merging from the far right onto a 50 mph road very slowly, then hitting the brakes and cutting across four lanes - in the middle of rush hour traffic!
I caught this one today on Stevens Creek. The light had clearly turned green and traffic was moving and this Volvo darted right out in front of oncoming traffic, and proceeded to drift across all 4 lanes!
A flagrant example of what would have been a particularly brazen "California stop" - until the driver realized he had to REALLY stop when he saw me coming! He clearly wasn't paying any attention, since he ended up encroaching on my lane before he finally stopped. At least he did look, albeit late, and he noticed that I was there, otherwise we could have had a real problem.
Something must have been in the air on Wednesday, I caught four red light runners, all at the same intersection! These are the first two, a VW Jetta and a 5-series BMW. Keep an eye on the left turn signal at the left edge of the screen - totally blatant!
Yet another bad driver who pulled into my lane when I was right next to him, without signaling or looking, and certainly not paying attention. When I confronted him with the fact that he almost took me out he had the gall to blame me for driving in his blind spot - but we were pulling up to a red light! Don't you know you're supposed to LOOK before you change lanes? July 30, 2008, 12:25pm
A smug, clueless woman crosses a solid white line in her Dodge Neon without using her turn signal, right into my path. I nearly locked it up in order to avoid a collision. She didn't think she did anything wrong and had the gall to say "I didn't even hit you" and accused me of "swerving through cars". Watch the video lady, and learn to drive safely for a change!
And now the last gem of the day, two more blatant red light runners turning left during the same cycle at the same intersection, a Lexus RX 300 and a Honda Odyssey. Watch the traffic light on the right side of the screen. Sheesh!
