Is the Florida Outpouring real? Is it Christ-centered? Is it God-honoring? Is it truly the Spirit of God moving in people's lives? I'm not certain it is any of those things. I am reserving judgment, but am also "testing the spirits to see if they are of God." (1 John 4). I simply ask you listen with an open heart and do the same.

This is a short series on the truth and heart of the true Gospel. It started as a response to a video that was a response to one of my videos in the "Florida Outpouring?" series. You can see that video here: http://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=vuxp1rEoO Gc

Love God. Love people. Grace & peace to all-
Popular Christian culture would have us believe that being a Christian means a life of luxury and comfort, that the kingdom of God is free of sickness, lack, illness, and suffering, and, therefore, we must start living in that kingdom now, whilst here on earth. Paul thinks quite the contrary.
Paul tells us to encourage each other about what we usually get freaked out and terrified over. Perhaps we've been missing the point on the end of time? 1 Thess. 4:13-18
Part 2 of the Love God Love People Love Truth series. Paul says that he prays for his church in Philipi that their love would grow for the Lord according to knowledge. To the degree that you know the truth of God is to the degree that you are capable of loving him rightly.
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 gives us quite a shocking take on the importance of loving, embracing, believing, and pleasuring the truth of God, and the consequences when we don't. Love God. Love People. Love Truth.
There is great hope that we will one day attain the perfect holiness which is required of us. "When he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is." (1 John 3:2) Until then, "I press on." (Philippians 3)

It's true. He does. The Bible clearly and emphatically states it. God's wrath against us as a result of our sins against him is a real problem. It is the most urgent problem we, as humans, can face. Jesus' propitiatory death is the real solution.
Gotta follow someone. Can't go at this walk of faith alone. We look to Christ, but we undoubtedly are to look to others in the faith also. Philippians 3:17-21
