In this video, there are four trains: a coal train, an intermodal, the Empire Builder, and a yard job. The first train surprised me, so I didn't have time to set up the tripod, but it's still held very still. The first two trains are seen next to the cement plant between Red Wing and Frontenac, and the other two at the Amtrak station in Red Wing.
3 trains, H28, 287 and ICE M-KCSP, are seen at locations around Red Wing and Lake City, Minnesota. This was a very cold day, with wind chills around -28F. The H28 clogged the main track for almost 5 hours while switching. A backlog of trains then created a dispatcher's nightmare. H28 replaced the 588/589, and is running whenever and wherever it is needed.
Five CP engines run along the Mississippi River bluffs near Hastings, Minnesota. The train passes Lock and Dam Number Two, which is actually the fourth lock on the Mississippi. I was going to set up in the balcony above, but it was sealed off.
