personally i think yew longs is better then mage longs , i myself got 99 fletching with yew longs :)
Wasted a bunch of money doing plank make to get 99mage
good: plank make is more than 3 times faster than alch and way more experience
bad: you gotta bank after every invent full

This is me getting 99 magic in Yanille. I got it in about 25 days from level 86, so i did it pretty much non stop=)
