The Green Valley Camera Club has photographed about 300 WWII veterans who reside in our southern Arizona retirement community. This slideshow is comprised of photos of the vets when they were in the service as well as those taken last week. Our goal is to honor all the living veterans who fought to keep us free.
This slideshow has been created to honor the women who served in various capacities during World War II. The first person I remember seeing in uniform was my aunt, my mother's sister. This slideshow will change as more women veterans come forward to be photographed in the Green Valley (AZ) Camera Club's World War II Veterans Project.
This is the fifth in a series of slideshows photographed and created by members of the Green Valley Camera Club honoring the men and women who served in World War II who reside in our southern Arizona retirement community. Note the propaganda leaflet the Germans used to try to scare our troops and the Stalag Luft III prison camp identification card addressed to his mother.
