When I got here, CSX Q409 was sitting far away facing the station and started departing. I waited to video tape it. This train carrys stinky trash with the manifest. The Train is leaded by ES44DC #5215 and AC44CW #35.

CSX Train Q409 has an odd sounding horn from its leader as it makes its way west through Union Station. Tonight's consist is SD70MAC's 4771 on the point and 4586 trailing with a 79 car mixed freight. Once again, there was trackwork along the A-Line, but this time, the floodgates didn't open until much later. Between 5 and 6, 3 freights were sent south. Of course, it was dark by then, and I had to go right after. There was a NB surge coming, judging by the fact that an L176 was about 20 miles away and the SBs were put into the sidings, but I had to go.

I took at trip up the River Line with my tag team partner 9/21/2008. We start at Haverstraw, NY with the Q-409. We then proceed to Marlborough, NY where we catch the Q-434. Then we went to West Park, NY and caught the Q-118. Then it was off to Kingston, NY where we caught the Q-254 and X-983. We finally went to Mount Marion, NY where we caught the K-684, Q-439 and the Q-417.

CSX Q409-27 is powering up and getting underway at Riverdale Park. Making a lot of engine noise is leader CSX ES44DC #5263 and CW40-8 #7801. Listen as these two put on a nice sound show of diesel power.
CSX Q-409 climbs the hill heading WB out of Baltimore with some big (nice) power. CW60AC 626 is leading CW40-8 7902 with the usual long mixed bag of freight cars. Can't hear 626's K5LA all that well either.
