Gaspar Sanz (1640 - 1710) wrote one of the earliest method books guitar tablature in 1697. This guitar is a replica of a transitional 6-course baroque guitar from the period. It is tuned like a modern 12-string, but has very light-tension gut strings and a very thin spruce top.
