First promotional video for the Pacific Climate Change Film Festival to be held in Suva, Fiji from September 23-24. Sponsored by the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), with support from the British High Commission, Suva.
On Monday 19 September 1994, on the island of New Britain, Tavurvur volcano erupted, billowing millons of tons of ash up into the atmosphere, falling as a grey mist on Rabaul town and surrounding villages.
What ensued was practically the total devistation of Rabaul town.
