This was the first of a three wave front that his the Phoenix Metro Area, beginning 7pm and lasting through 1am. The lightning intensity and frequency is unusual in my 33 years living here. There was a constant non-stop roar of thunder, similar to a bowling ball that didn't stop. Canon ELPH did not record it well due to very low frequency.

This is the first series in the annual Puro de Classico featuring the 10th match.
This is a test I made in After Effects in august 2008. It's basically a Trapcode Particular emitter with a spherical field and I applied a distortion filter to make it look this way. It was pretty challenging, I had to animate the light intensity and the flickering of the glows too. I think it's pretty nice.
