Camera mounted on flatcar travels across 4,5 kilometer track through model city Madurodam in the Netherlands. Trailer of unique DVD available at internet stores (NTSC 50 minutes).
The Norfolk Southern local is dropping off flatcars for GE at the EECRR/NS interchange. The train is powered by ex Conrail SD40-2 #6467 (NS #3395). The Conrail paint still looks good! Erie, PA October 3rd, 20008.
CN 305 passes by McGivney NB at around 8:30am. The power for the load is 5724, 5321 and 5267, which are hauling exactly 100 cars.
There was a slow order for this area, which is why the train is most likely doing 15mph.
After the southbound train clears the main line, this northbound train gets a clear signal and proceeds through town. At 4:30 note the 12 axle flat car! Then directly behind this train is a northbound coal train on the same track. That train waits to get an approach signal indication before continueing. *Watch in High Quality
Three more runby shots, then CamTrak gets in on the action, first facing the locomotives across an idler flatcar, then pointing forward.
Of course by now you know there is no sound on either locomotive (other than the pathetic horns), but you can hear the motors in the units growling as the train passes through the confines of the yard area.
2 Westbound CSX trains travel through Lowellville, Ohio on Thursday: August 28, 2008. First 1 is a mixed freight, and the second 1 in a coal train. Sorry about the sound and image of the video. I took this with a digital camera.
*** Note the Depressed Center Flatcar at about 1:27
This was shot in the dark since I came across this guy unexpectedly (he was running an uncharacteristic 30 minutes late), but I thought I would post it anyway. All I can say about the engines is that they were GEs and in Dark Future scheme. Lots of empty flatcars on this one too, also unusual. Taken on the CSX S-Line (ex-SAL) in Ocala, FL.
