My first freight train of the day.A Union Pacific manifest rolls out of the Niles Canyon and past the Centerville Amtrak/ACE station in Fremont.Power for this train consists of a GM SD70M and a GE ES44AC.
Todays GSEHPG has a couple of visitors helping move the tonnage. You can tell the difference in prime movers between the AC4400CW and the ES44AC. A big difference if you as me.
Brand new CSX ES44AC 946 along with C40-8W 7316 (still in Conrail blue), SD40-2 8856 and LTEX SW1200 3501 (ex BNSF) lead a westbound freight train across South Creek road and over Ganargua Creek near Palmyra, NY on 10-11-08. South Creek Road crossing is located at MP Q346.25 on the CSX Chicago Main Line.
