I Could tell this was not a normal lead unit for 797 the moment i looked down the tracks and saw that big bright unmistakeable yellow nose of an SD60M. This is ex conrail 5509. Talk about an EMD lashup!
You can't mistake the yellow nose of ex conrail SD-60M #5509 now numbered as 8760 for the normal SD50's and GP40's like what is normally the power for this train. This was pretty impressive. this shot is west of Orrtanna.
CSX's hot Q121 train is shown at Abba, GA on the Fitzgerald sub, behind what must be one of CSX's rattiest looking locomotives (I know, paint doesn't pull cars).
CN 148, with a SD75I and a Dash 9-44CW, race past the Cornwall VIA station at night, on the south track. With over a mile of contailers, making 68mph and showing it has a schedule to keep.

Wonderful evening action on the NS Chicago line. CP trackage rights train 25T gets a signal to head west as stack train 20N flies by on track 2. Then 10M heads east with a conrail d8 in the lead, and another BNSF coal train heads east. Shot 8-28-08
Action includes a big 14Q from Elkhart and more coal, train 572 for a Northern Indiana power plant. This was 1 of 9 coal trains I saw here in 24 hours. Most impressive!
Enjoy!
