The downfall of my eSky Coaxial Lama 4 RC helicopter. Having spent a couple of flying hours indoors, I was keen to try the heli outside - a little too keen as I had underestimated the amount of wind. A blade strike about 30 feet up causes the Lama to enter one last, graceful freefall. She has since been repaired :-)

Testing my Lama V4 on how it can handle wind after it was modified with the flybarless dual swashplate mod.
I am using the stock brushed motors, servos, 4-in-1 (in 72Mhz) and 2S Lipo battery here. Even the shaft and blades are stock.
Doing some "random" cyclics to test recoverability on a dual swash flybarless coaxial Lama V4.
Eventually i hit ground at the end :D. Anyway she is a good performer.
Eflite's MCX "Micro Co-Axial" helicopter with MIA's upgrade package. Upgrade's include new body and tail fin's, and a stronger lighter landing skid package.
Here she is testing hover stability of a Coaxial RC Helicopter modified by removing the flybar and adding a second swashplate for cyclics at the upper rotor head. Stability is maintained by using two rate gyros added on the aileron and elevator servos. The TX parameters were carefully trimmed.
Here she is testing piros and hover stability of a Coaxial RC Helicopter modified by removing the flybar. Stability is maintained by using two rate gyros added on the aileron and elevator servos. The TX parameters were carefully trimmed.

Practicing some FF/Bank turns.

Performing piros, throttle punches and some fast forward flights / bank turns.
