One car, three friends, countless destinations. Fresno, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco, Dayton, Portland, Seattle, Morro Bay, Los Angeles.
We slept on hard floors, in tents, by the ocean, and in beds. We ate chex mix, turkey that had gone bad, and one time we had pie.
We made mistakes, new friends, and an abundance of memories.
Great side by The Majestics. This really has that early Detroit sound. The Motown sound didn't only belong to Berry Gordy's family of labels.. It was a sound happening all over Detroit. Not to take anything away from Motown/Tamla/Gordy, but the real pioneers to what we now call the Motown sound would the Jack and Devora Brown, proprietors of Fortune and Hi-Q records.
B-Side of I Cried For Your Love. Good tune.. I love this early Detroit sound. It wasn't something that just appeared when Motown came around.. Detroit had a very distinct sound since the early 50s. Motown took the Detroit sound, put their spin on it and took it big time.
