A musical greeting that USC staff received in Kalahan, Timor Leste. The song is performed by young farmers in honour of USC. They wrote the lyrics themselves:
"Manilma, Manilima.
Before the land was empty, but now it is full of green.
And so we thank you."
Each year at General Assembly, we recognize just a few of the more than 1,000 dedicated Unitarian Universalists who have passed on during the previous year. These UUs have given directly to the Association, and we offer our gratitude and appreciation to these very special people, and their families, who have served Unitarian Universalism so well.

Carla Lewis, who runs the Transgender Coalition website, was inside the Tennessee Valley Universalist Unitarian Church in Knoxville on Sunday July 27, when a gunman opened fire, looking for gays and liberals to kill.
A week after two worshippers were killed at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, members crowded the sanctuary there for Sunday service and to remember the fallen.
