The river season draws to a close and I'm still pursuing pike on the tributary. The birding is good and I get to see a raven amongst others. The music is Mr Big Stuff by Jean Knight on the Stax label.
As the river season comes to an end, I start my spring gravel pit campaign. Although the conditions were against me I did well in the end. Music is Positivity by Stevie Wonder featuring Aisha Morris.

It's January 2008 and I am starting the year in pursuit of perch on the River Trent. I fail in my quest but I do catch two bullheads though and see a pair of whooper swans!

I'm on the canal this week with sessions after carp on the surface and spinning for perch and chub. I also get to see a barn owl. Twinkle my Bedlington terrier also puts in an appearance.
With a week of snow and sharp frosts I was glad to take anything that came along, so the one big bream was very welcome indeed. The music is The Tams and Hey girl don't bother me.
