Watch part two of this demo for more sounds...
Part One: This is a short demo of some sounds of the Alesis Ion with some things that I would've liked to be able to hear on youtube before I bought the synth... I don't play very well, but it's about those sounds...
Basslines, Vocoder, drive effect, ...
I'm making a random sound on the Alesis Ion, just showing some of the basic possibilities of this synth, and how easy it is to program.
I'm planning on doing more of these real soon with more video-angles so you can actually see what's on the screen when editing.
I long video with me browsing through a lot of the sounds of the MC303 groovebox by Roland.
I bought this little piece of equiptment as an add-on to my synth and recording based studio, and to be able to make little sketches just using the MC303.
I use it mainly as a soundsource, and I sure love those sounds. You just have to know where to use them.
Pz,
ARD
I bought this thing second hand last week as a portable mini-synth
. Boy am I glad I got rid of my Microkorg. This thing is much better.
I'm doing more in-depth stuff later. But for now some teaser sounds...
I just figured out how to sequence my Microkorg and the Nova on two different midi channels so now I can sequence upto 7 channels (1 on microkorg with 4 note polyfony, 6 on the nova with 20 note polyfony together)...
This isn't a finished song or anything, the sounds aren't even tweaked out as they should. It's just a video...
I'm trying a different approach. I used to record audio into nuendo, but I'm kinda sick of making music that way so I'm trying out sending midi into my hardware. Microkorg and Roland EM10 are the only soundsources for now, but as I learn, I think I'll need some more soundmodules...
I finally installed those ASIO drivers for my soundcard, and yeah, now I can use battery for drums, without all the latency issues (I was getting 300ms latecy!!!-now only 3ms)... unfinished song.
I'm just showing how I connected my TV to the computer for sampling purposes. I guess I'm not giving much new information, but maybe it's helpfull for someone out there. I don't think so though... just for fun.
