This is a number from Best of Broadway 2006 at Merrill Auditorium in Portland, ME. Best of Broadway is a yearly fundraising event to benefit children and families cared for at The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center.
Our second performance of "Man of La Mancha" at French Woods Festival. Conducted by Brian Worsdale. Orchestra consists of mixed staff/campers. Fun piccolo solo in the beginning. I love this show....OH the "DON'T DO THAT" was unruly campers being stupid when we were about to start the piece...
I had a minor repair to my old Yamaha flute...a very inexpensive one that took about 10 minutes. Can you hear a difference from clip to clip?
If you do, tell me what you hear. If you don't, eh...LOL.
Windham Center Stage - Windham, Maine. 2005. The scene where Joseph's brothers are in Egypt and have no idea that the Governor is actually their brother who they sold into slavery many years before...Note the identical twin narrators...
Bows & Exit Music from "City of Angels" at French Woods Festival, filmed from my seat in the orchestra pit. The orchestra is conducted by Brian Worsdale, the pit orchestra is made up of mixed staff/campers, and the cast is all campers.
Me singing "The Flesh Failures" as "Claude" from the Broadway Musical HAIR, the American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. My video is on VHS so I put pictures from the show up instead. Performed outdoors and audio recorded live with a minidisc recorder.
Dug this out of my files and thought I'd post it. Not perfect, I know...If anyone is a guitarist in the NYC area and would like to work on this and other Flute and Guitar works...please e-mail me.
I've played this show more than once and this is the first time getting to play the exit music. So fun to play. Orchestra is mixed staff/campers, conducted by Brian P. Worsdale (not shown in view)
Another clip from the dress rehearsal for "Dreamgirls" at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts.
The cast is all campers and the pit orchestra is mixed campers and staff.
This is me in the role of "Claude" singing "I Got Life" from the American Tribal Love Rock Musical, HAIR. I'm the redhead of course. The pictures are from various scenes. Audio not bad for recording a live performance outdoors in the sweltering heat.
This is just an experiment. I have just discovered this song and I really like singing it. I'm reading it from the score. Will post it again after working on it a bit.
Brian P. Worsdale, conducting the French Woods Festival Symphony Orchestra playing the William Tell Overture. This Symphony is made up of campers and some staff. Mr. Worsdale is Director of Music at French Woods. www.frenchwoods.com
Picc Solo - Knight of the Woeful Countenance...fun solo. Just a clip to show friends what I do here while I'm teaching at French Woods for the summer. Pit is mixed Staff/Campers. Not bad for just a digital camera/microphone, but it doesn't do my tone justice...AGAIN the angle makes me look like Uncle Fester.
From the dress rehearsal of "Dreamgirls" at French Woods 2008. We have a wonderful cast for the show, and the pit is fun. I've dusted off my electric bass and am enjoying playing the show.
Windham Center Stage Theatre - Windham Maine, 2005. Susie and Allie Stauble our Narrators (TWIN High School Seniors who sing like Angels together), lots o'kids and Me as Joseph.
Posted this for Mom and Dad...they'll love this...hehe. Had a great time with Christine and Angelina at Karaoke One 7 in Manhattan. You rent your own room for six bucks per hour per person, and just dial up your drinks with the phone in the room. SWEET.
Just giving this a shot. (pardon the sucky flutter tonguing) I'm hunting for a guitarist to play it with. (I got a ton of flute music over the past week. If you can't tell from my "A.D.D" postings of snips from music I've yet to study)
