Step 5. At this point you can see this piece is coming to life in its own right. It's got depth and style to id, however, this means all the mistakes I've made are a great deal more visible, such as her left leg seems to be a little too long. I should fix it, but I won't bother everyone with the video of that. I'll just correct it and then move on with the highlights and whatnot.
Part 3. This isn't the normal way, so to speak, of drawing a comic character for me. I'd normally pencil, ink and then color it, however, I was painting or I thought was would paint this version and see how it came out. So, this is how approach a painting. I lay down a sketch, then add some base colors and then add the darks in lights where needed.
