A journey on the Talyllyn Railway in mid-Wales in September 2006, with ex-Corris Railway No 4 'Edward Thomas', a Kerr Stuart 'Tattoo' class 0-4-2ST. We start at Cynfal halt, then travel through to Nant Gwernol, passing 'Tom Rolt' at Quarry Siding, taking in a halt at Abergynolwyn. We finish at Rhydyronen on the return trip down the valley.

A walk along the trackbed of Phase 4 of the reconstruction of the Welsh Highland Railway, the connection from Rhyd Ddu to Porthmadog, set to re-open to passengers at Easter 2009. We start at the WHR (Porthmadog) Traeth Mawr extension, & head north to meet the WHR (Caernarvon) at Rhyd Ddu. Filmed in September 2005, at the time reconstruction work was just commencing. on this section.

'Dougal', the 1946 Andrew Barclay-built 0-4-0T on the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway shunts a demonstration freight train at Cyfronydd station, before departing for Llanfair Caereinion. The light rain makes life difficult for diminutive loco as it struggles to lift the short train up the steep grade beyond the points at the Welshpool end of the loop.
