John Blair, president of Valley Watch, speaks to the Kentucky Environmental Protection Cabinet regarding a proposed landfill adjacent to a proposed power plant in Henderson County, Kentucky.
The proposed plant will impact air, water and the health of people throughout an area that already boasts the largest concentration of coal plant capacity in the world.
It was the first warm night of the year. People were running to get there and scores of people gathered to watch a promised street fight. But then came the cops. when one cop brought out tear gas a conversation ensued that was descriptive of our day and the state of our democracy.
In the end a single arrest seemed to quell the crowd.
