A westbound stone extra wails through Farmingdale Village saluting the grade crossings with a wicked sounding Old Cast Nathan P01235 (P5). Note the horn in the distance towards the end of the video... The crossing that the train is blowing for is about a mile west of the camera.
RS31 heads down the Central Branch after ducking in the clear for 2772 and switching Amco plastics. The crossing in the background is Staples Street in Farmingdale. Only the lead engine is online drawing power. 9/5/08

The Slime Train heads west out of East Williston station on the Oyster Bay branch with 150 leading. The horn is a modified Leslie S3 with 25, 31, ahd 37 bells configured to create a deeper, mellow sound.
After the train passed the camera, blue smoke was billowing out from underneath the hood of the leading engine (156). These engines were under an extremely heavy load.
The now-abolished NYAR RS50/51 night job hauls a freight from Pineaire to Fresh Pond passing through Farmingdale. The train is being pulled by engine 151. If you look closely when the middle of the train passes by, you'll find engine 270 which was giving the day crew trouble. It is on its way back to Fresh Pond for repairs. Three engines move three coaches past Beth Interlocking on train #8741 heading west to Jamaica. This train originated in Speonk. Engines from west to east are 407, 412, 416 Taken 9/7/08
The RS41 has finished it's work at the Eldee siding switching Astro Ready Mix and has went back to Pineaire to swap power with the RS60. Here is the RS41 through Carll's Path crossing in Deer Park, NY past the Old DK siding. The empty hoppers were wobbling side to side so badly that every car kicked rocks my way. Power is 156 and 261. 8/28/08
