Taylor says that Rick is a kind man who has helped her see that she has a future. Taylor then turns to Rick and says, "I do love you." Rick responds, "I love you, too." Sickened, Brooke tells both Rick and Taylor that this is wrong and insists that this is not going to happen!
Taylor wonders if it was a good idea for them to arrive together. Rick reminds her that her kids won't be there, but Taylor still worries that they might be giving the family something to talk about by arriving together. Rick points out that the family already has plenty to talk about with his dad marrying Donna in Stephanie's house.
At the Bel Air mansion, Brooke tries to get Rick to see how wrong it is for him to be with Taylor, but Rick tells her that she can't control other people's feelings.
Brooke can't believe that Stephanie wants to kill her. Actually, Stephanie says, the plan is for Brooke to kill herself! It may be extreme, but times like this call for thinking outside the box. She even brought two bullets in case Brooke misses the first time.
At the Bel Air mansion, Ridge apologizes to Taylor, wishing he could change how things turned out for them. But he can't do that, Taylor says, lamenting that it's not fair that Nick and Brooke are the only ones to be happy. She thinks about what the cost was for her, Ridge and their family. Ridge tells her that she deserves to be happy, but she isn't, nor or the kids.
