Using a somewhat detuned piano at Drake University to cover First Breath After Coma by Explosions in the Sky.
Score: http://www.sendspace .com/file/uu54w8
Breifly reunited with my old bass, I played some songs. Yay.
1. Oceansize-Commemorat ive 9/11 T-Shirt (main guitar riff)
2. Mogwai-Like Herod (1st few minutes)
3. Mogwai-Yes, I Am A Long Way From Home!
4. Explosions In The Sky-A Song For Our Fathers
This is one really difficult song. Got really tired at the end so screwed up a significant amount of the song, especially after the terrace dynamics.
Edit: This video was featured on MONO's official blog!!!
It's been 16-17 months since the last one. Just wanna show you what changed in how I play it.
BTW, to everyone who's using the scores, it's pretty erroneous. So if you can fix it up please do.
09-15-00 (Part One) cover. Due to my crappy upload speed I had to compress it, so the video quality sucks, better you just minimize the window.
P.S. No, I don't have the tabs.
Title says it all. I attempt to 'play' the guitar using a screwdriver. The sound isn't meant to be pretty by the way. The song I screw with at the beginning and end is the beginning of Godspeed You! Black Emperor's Moya.
Cover of the Japanese Mono's You Are There. I used an electric organ, with piano on lower keyboards and double bass on the pedals (the top keyboard is unused). Like the last one I did, the audio and video don't match for some reason.
Note: I play keyboards like a maniac, don't criticise me on that.
Proof that you don't need 15000000 people to play a BSS song.
Although I still love them. :)
P.S. To those who want to play the song, just keep improvising between 4th, 7th, 9th and 11th chords.
Hard to explain... It's a cover of Broken Social scene's Fire Eye'd Boy using an ukulele.
Part of what I hope to be a regular series of funny music-themed videos.
This is meant of be funny so try not to treat it too seriously. My singing sucks so live with it. This is what happens when you combine the etheral sounds of Mew with...
An Ukulele?!
To all my friends at the mewsite.com forums.
Part-vlogging and part-cover. This is my way of saying au revor to all my friends in Malaysia and so on before I leave for the US. Features a cover of Mew's Symmetry towards the end.
