Mid-Hants Rly ran a gala July 6/7 to commemorate 40 Years since steam was withdrawn in the Southern Region. West Country 34016 Bodmin, A4 60019 Bittern, Std5 73096 and Spam Can 34007 Wadebridge are all seen working during this event.

SSS finale, as all 11 engines worked from Deeside to Carrog on Sunday evening. They are seen arriving at Carrog. Locos are 1450, 9466, 5224, 4160, 5643, 6430, 5199, 78019, 7822, 3802 & 34081.
North Yorkshire Moors Spring Steam Gala had a LNER theme, with 8 LNER locos. Sadly V2 4771 'Green Arrow failed during the first weekend. However the main event was the coming together of 3 A4 Pacifics, 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley, 60009 Union of South Africa and 60019 Bittern. The 3 are seen working on the final day Sunday 6th of March, with the Q6 63395 also seen working the demonstration freight.
Caprotti Standard 5 73129 is seen departing Swanage on the Saturday evening during the Swanage Railway's Steam Gala to commemorate 40 years since steam was withdrawn in the Southern region.
Merchant Navy 35028 'Clan Line' is seen working its first non-VSOE tour since its return to steam during the commemorative weekend of 40 years since the End of Southern Steam. She is seen on her return to Waterloo climbing Battledown near Worting Junction.
957 is seen working though Oakworth with 2 L&Y coaches during the KWVR 2006 Autumn Steam Gala. This is the station where the original 'Railway Children' was filmed, and 957 was in the film too.
